Nazarene Missions International (NMI) is a key ministry of the Church of the Nazarene. Our church participates in this ministry, whose purpose is to prepare local churches for participating in global missions by promoting prayer, educating congregations about missions, and facilitating financial support through the World Evangelism Fund* and Alabaster Offering**. NMI’s efforts include engaging children and youth in missions, connecting churches with missionaries, developing and sending missionaries, and welcoming them home on assignment.
*World Evangelism Fund is the operating system for Nazarene world outreach, providing the structure and support for global evangelism.
- Monies are distributed among various ministry areas of the global church, including missions, education, and administration.
- Supports Nazarene missionaries worldwide, including covering their expenses, salaries, and retirement plans.
- Supports national leadership development and training, youth ministries, church planting, and various other initiatives, such as literature production and global awareness programs.
**Alabaster Offering helps construct church buildings, schools, medical facilities, and other infrastructure worldwide.
- funds collected through the Alabaster Offering are used to meet building needs identified and prioritized by church leadership.
- Every week, it funds four land acquisition and construction projects worldwide.
- Nazarene congregations are asked to collect Alabaster offerings twice a year.
- Inspired by the biblical story in Luke 7:37-38 of a woman washing Jesus’ feet with perfume, and is a call for sacrificial giving.
- By providing spaces for Christian ministry, Alabaster funds have made a remarkable impact worldwide.
- Funds are distributed through the Nazarene global missions structure.
