Indian Lake Church of the Nazarene (IL NAZ) is one of 11 churches and organizations around the lake that supports Daily Bread of Indian Lake. The purpose of Daily Bread is to provide nutritious meals to those in need, as well as a safe place for communication and socialization. Meals are served Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 5:30pm.
IL NAZ has partnered with Daily Bread to provide deserts for their meals served on the third Tuesday of every month. Our church attendees individually donate and drop off home-made or store-bought deserts between 4:00 and 4:30pm on these days once a month, and some stay to help with serving, cleaning, and anything else that can be done. Many feel led to donate and/or help even more often, since meals are served five days a week (Mondays through Fridays). What a blessing these folks are for those who are in need of a good, home-cooked meal.
Daily Bread of Indian Lake is located in the Eagles Annex Building, 11443 Shawnee Path. They accept both food and monetary donations, and donations are tax deductible.
