What do Nazarenes Believe?

  • We believe in one God – encompassing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe the Old and New Testaments contain all the truth necessary for faith and Christian living.
  • We believe man is born with a fallen (sinful) nature.
  • We believe those who do not repent and turn from their sins are hopelessly and eternally lost.
  • We believe the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race.
  • We believe whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and saved from sin.
  • We believe that believers are to strive to be sanctified wholly, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth (“born again”).
  • We believe our Lord will return and it could be soon.
  • We believe the dead will be raised.
  • We believe the final judgment will take place.
  • We believe that those who are saved will spend eternity with God.
